Conor Aylsworth: Lead Vocals

Conor has been singing in bands for a few years – first with GreenLight Go and now with Against the Grain as of May 2011. She has a passion for classic and indie rock and idolizes way too many musicians.

When she’s not backstage carousing with groupies or holding bed-ins for peace, she’s working at UMBC, cheering for the Ravens, and spending time with her friends and family.

Her vocal influences range from Ann Wilson to Steve Perry and her favorite bands include The Beatles and Pink Floyd.

Brian Arellano: Lead Guitar and Vocals

Biggest Influences: Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughan, David Gilmour

Equipment: Fender guitars and amps, various effects

Brian was born and raised in Arnold, MD, currently residing in Pasadena. He began playing guitar at the age of 12 after being inspired by the opening riff of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Whole Lotta Love’, and hasn’t stopped since. In high school, he played in various bands including ‘Chasing Eve’ and ‘Below The Fold’, and later played for 2 years with ‘Greenlight Go!’, before joing ATG in May of 2011.

Mark Johnson: Drums

Biggest influence: Walter Salb Favorite Drummer: John Bonham

Raised in Montgomery County, Maryland, Mark moved to Baltimore in 1997. In that time, he has played with “Partners In Crime”, “Poison Whiskey”, and “1 More Round”. Mark also played with “Against the Grain” from 2000 to 2005 and started his second tour in the summer of 2011.

Tom McCabe: Bass and Vocals

Biggest influence: Tom “T-BONE” Wolk (Hall & Oates) Favorite Bassist: Stuart Hamm, Paul McCartney, James Jamerson, Francis “Rocco” Prestia, Geddy Lee, Leland Sklar, Stanley Clarke

Tom was born in Baltimore, MD on the 16th of January! He began playing bass at Cardinal Gibbons High School in 1976. His first bass was a gift from his sister Kathy and purchased at Bill’s Music House in Catonsville. He took lessons at Nelson Knodes Music. He is founding member of Against the Grain and also played with “Damage Inc” and “Hang Loose.” He also filled in with “Georgia Lea and Stone Cold Country.”

Ben Arellano: Guitar, Keyboard and Lead Vocals

Born in Annapolis Md. Now lives in Pasadena. One of many favorite bands is The Beatles. Played in too many groups to mention including: Rumors, Bennie & the Jets, Detour, 3rd World, and now ATG.
